Your coins' story

Every Garlicoin was mined in some block, then passed from wallet to wallet until it reached yours. Enter an address to follow its oldest coin back, hop by hop, to the moment it was first mined.

How we trace it

We take the address's oldest coin that's still unspent (or, for an empty address, the first coin it ever got) and look at the transaction that paid it. That transaction spent older coins; we follow its first input, then that coin's first input, and so on, until we reach a block's mining reward or have gone 40 hops. A payment often gathers many coins at once, so this is the story of one path back, not the only one.

Community Electrum servers tell us which block holds each transaction, and our own Garlicoin node reads it from that block. A story is kept for an hour, so a second look is instant. Everything here is public on the chain already.
