Cheering section
Say something to everyone in the draw for today. It costs 1 GRLC and goes to the faucet. It doesn't change who wins.

How the winner is picked
- Entries close at 6 pm US Central time. A block about half an hour later picks the winner, so nobody, not even us, can know it in advance.
- Every entry has the same chance. The prize, 1 to 10 GRLC (5 on average), is set by the chain when entries open.
- One day in 60 pays a 100 GRLC jackpot instead, when the faucet can cover it.
- Everything is published, and this page re-checks every result in your browser.
The exact rules
- Entries close at 6 pm US Central time every day. The draw block is then announced: 45 blocks past the chain tip, about half an hour away. Nobody can know its hash in advance, not even us.
- Once the draw block has six confirmations, its hash is read as one huge number. The entries are sorted alphabetically, and hash mod entries gives the winner, counting from 0 (0 is the first entry).
- The prize is announced in advance: when the previous day's entries close, the newest block's hash picks one of 20 slots: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9 or 10 GRLC. That averages 5 GRLC, with a 10 about one day in 20. A day with no entries pays nothing.
- The jackpot: the same opening hash is divided by 20, dropping the remainder (which picked the slot), and taken mod 60. If that gives 0, the draw pays 100 GRLC instead of its slot: one day in 60, independent of the slot, lifting the average to about 6.6 GRLC. It applies only if the faucet can pay it when the day opens, with room to spare (100 GRLC plus 200 beyond any prizes still owed); otherwise the day keeps its slot. It's decided once, at opening, so the announced prize never changes. lotto.json marks each draw's rules and jackpot.
- Everything used in a draw, including all entries, is published in lotto.json, so anyone can check a result. This page redoes the math in your browser and shows a tick when it agrees.
